Furniture Restoration & Renovation

If you have good pieces of furniture that needs a bit of care, or pieces that have gone out of fashion, consider having them revamped and updated.

Furniture that has been in the family for a long time can be revitalised. Chairs, tables, sideboards – any interesting old pieces that you have inherited are likely candidates and can be stripped, repaired, and refurbished to the original.

Heirlooms made from good timber can be reconditioned, ready to be passed on to the next generation.

Newer pieces like your '80s bedroom suite or the unfashionable dining table can be spruced up by refinishing in a paint lacquer or change the colour of the stain and relacquer.

Repainting is one way to update furniture that is a few decades old. Once any necessary structural repairs have been done, your furniture can be brought up to date with modern colours.

This is a very practical solution to furnishing problems. You may have a piece of furniture or an entire suite that is in fairly good repair and fits well into the size and shape of your room.

We can revamp and revitalise virtually everything, from interior and exterior doors to garden benches, sideboards, bedroom suites, wardrobe doors, tables and chairs.

Wood can be aged to make it look as if it is a hundred years old, newer furniture can undergo distressing to acquire that "old" look, and more recently made furniture can be repainted.
